Any Suggestions On Exercise Routines At Home?

By Diet | Jan 28, 2010

My husband and I had a gym membership last year, and it’s one of the best things we’ve done to help us get into shape and stay in shape. However, this year some stuff came up, and we can’t afford to renew our membership. Working out from home takes a lot of discipline and dedication. Do you have any exercise routines that have helped you? What are they and what do you do to keep yourself motivated?

Same thing happened to me. I had a membership last year and now I cannot afford it.
So what I did was I got a set of weights and a tread mil.
Firstly I jog on the tread mil for 5 minutes.
Then, stretch leg musles, chest, arms muscles.
Back on the tread mil, jog for 20 minutes.
Then I would start doing 3 sets of weights for desired body part each ten reps.
All together, It takes about an hour and half.

Silverbullet is correct–Running is the best out all around cardio workout, it’s relatively cheap, you just need a good pair of shoes and it doesn’t matter what you wear.
I’d just started this past March and I’m already down 20 lbs, and that is without cutting out any of my eating!
I don’t need motivation to do it bc I look at it as ”my time” away from the spouse and kids ans listen to great music on my ipod.

Running is the best exercise there is. Garbage pick an old bike, and you have the second best exercise, with cheap transportation as a side benefit.
