My husband is getting deployed to Iraq and I think the best present I could give him (and for myself) would be to loose all the extra pounds and look like i did in high school. My target weight loss areas are thighs, butt, stomach. I have little motivation to work out I cant afford a gym and I work alot. It would motivate me to have a work out buddy but none of my friends even care about losing weight (when they should). HELP!

    You really can’t go wrong with Weight Watchers. I took off 23 lbs in 3 months. You can do it.

    I started the south beach diet 3 days ago and I can already feel that my jeans are looser. It’s a bit strict for the first 2 weeks. I also stopped drinking diet soda and stopped smoking at the same time. SO if I can do all of those you can do it too. Good luck. Drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day will help. I drink cold water with lemon because the cold water helps speed up your metabolism.

    I can suggest you the following:
    1. Start a diet you like. I can suggest you Japanese or Tibet’s diet.
    2. Change the diet every 2 weeks with new one to avoid body’s getting used (this is a secret tip ;-) ).
    3. Combine all this with exercises. At least walk 5 km (1 hour per day)
    4. When you lose about 5 pounds, you can go for more serious cardio exercises – run, swim, dance :-)
