This is my second child, but after the first I didn’t exercise cause I lost alot of the weight. However this time I feel like I am not going to lose it all without exercising. I know I am suppose to wait 2 weeks before I start normal activities and 6 weeks before I have sex again, but I don’t remember my dr. saying anything about exercising. Thanks for you help!

    Any high impact exercises, you really should wait until after your 6 week check up. If you’re feeling good though, you can definitely get out and take walks with your baby – I started this as soon as possible, I’m not good at sitting around doing nothing. I also continued to use my light 3lbs weights to keep my arms somewhat toned, but nothing really difficult or high impact.

    tell me about it…9 months after my first i weighed less than i have my whole life…people thought i was anorexic at 112 lbs. without doing a damn thing lol! Now after my third im still breastfeeding, exercising when i can eating right and still 140 lbs…. sigh….but yes, 6 weeks.

    Your supposed to wait il your 6 week apointment to get the ok. Though I did a little walking at 4 weeks. Not much though.

    My doctor told me to wait six weeks before exercising.
