  • There are plenty of protein powders available but I think the “safe” part is rather subjective. As you may know powders are geared towards bodybuilding and such so there are plenty of added compounds. I know kashi makes a protein powder that is soy based and doesn’t have any added chemicals. There are also several whey protein powders that don’t have added BCAA’s and sweeteners. But as always prior to ingesting any of these products take it in to your OB and ask if it’s safe. You could prolly consult a lactation consultant or someone at La Leche.
