Prepackaged Diet Food – How to add variety and improve Taste

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I have been on the Medifast diet plan since October. I'm on the five plus one plan, so I probably consumed nearly a thousand prepackaged meals. I also work with a vast complex of office full of women dieting. Those of us on diets often have taste tests at lunchtime. Accordingly, in addition to Medifast, I also tasted the offerings of Jenny Craig, NutriSystem diet and the head to name a few.

Prepackaged diet meals have come a long way. ForMost of the time I find them very good and acceptable. If I'm in a hurry or do not want to put all the efforts of my meals, I'm doing very well. But if I have a little more time and inclination, I do not hesitate to take liberties with the food. (Although I have only personal experience with the meal, I am, I am sure this method would work with all the prepackaged diet plans.)

For example, the Medifast shakes are very good, but they are fantastic whenmade in blender of high quality, served cold and topped with whipped cream and fat free sugar free / fat free caramel syrup. (Fruit flavored syrups are also very good.) This trick can also be used for cakes, fruit drinks, lattes and cappuccinos. This usually helps keep me satisfied, but if I have a desire to serve major, I'm going crazy and add chocolate chips, sprinkles, or slivered almonds to my shake or pudding. Yes, in theory, it is cheating, but this outbreak is stillvery rich in protein, low calorie diet and treated a lot nicer than a real dessert.

I sometimes take these liberties with most foods in my diet. Here are some more examples. I take the prepackaged Medifast scrambled eggs, add the vegetables, fat free cheese and roll it into a fat-free tortilla to make an omelet or breakfast sandwich. Sometimes I add salsa to it. Also, I add sugar free syrup, fresh fruit and applesauce to the oatmeal. I added hummus or fat free DIPsoy crackers. I top the chili with cheese and nonfat sour cream. Sometimes I put the chili in a tortilla, add salsa and sour cream and call it a burrito.

My favorite way to strengthen the food is to do everything else. Believe it or not, puddings and Medifast oatmeal can be used to make cookies, cakes and muffins. I also take fruit drinks and pour over shaved ice so I can enjoy a snow cone.

It is quite possible that physicians which has developed my diet plan did not intend to change my food. However, I do not think they will say that I lost over 50 pounds and after six months, I'm not bored and I'm sticking with the program for a high amount of enthusiasm. Therefore, I do not think they would mind at all. By definition, I am having great success with this program and I am sure that is the goal for all dieters.

I encourage anyone considering or eat prepackaged> Dietary feel free to use sugar and fat-free additions to make the system of food appeals to you. This will also add variety and help you keep from being bored.
