Ferret Help Asap Hair Loss Fat Belly?

my ferret has recently had a swollen abdomen, direaah, only with a little blood, but not any more, and hair loss, she has been on vet perscribed antibiotics, but i don’t know what she might have. help me please. she also don’t act like she is affected at all by it.

Could be a number of things. What was it the vet said was wrong that he put it on antibiotics. Are you supposed to take her back to the vet again. Try site below. Has info on ferret health issues, plus links to good ferret sites. You can compare symptoms and see if you can match. If not and if the vet hasn’t told you … ask him.
My sister is currently going thru this right now with her precious little Lois (who is 7 years old!))
Lois’s hair started falling out about 1 1/2 years ago,she went completely BALD and started having somewhat bloody stools and her belly was bloated~She has a tumor in her Adrenal gland.Loss of hair is the very first sign of this illness.
Since Lois is too old,she cannot withstand any surgery but if your baby is young enough,you might want to ask your doctor about that.
Please get her checked out asap!
You should trust what you vet says. Or if she hasn’t actually told you what’s going on and why they have put your ferret on antibiotics, insist that they tell you.
Wow.
The veternarian should know the answer to that, they didn’t tell you the side effect?
You need to find out.
