Fat Loss 4 Idiots

Are you suppose to hang over them or sit on them? I usually go over the top and land on my face.

I go to the gym and was taught this exercise for ab improvement. Sit on the ball and roll it forwards (with feet square out front) until you feel the base of your spine on the edge. Then cross your arms across your chest and lean back (as if doing a sit up) make sure you keep the weight in your legs & fete otherwise you wil go over head first!)/. When you feel your back touching the ball just relax and stretch right back, hold for a few seconds and the sit back up, make sure you keep you head up and your tunmmy tensed the holw time. Do 2 sets of 12 every day and it will very much imporve your tummy muscles.
There are also heaps of other exercises to do with the balls.
If you dont get what i explained ( i woudln’t blame you if you didn’t) there are similar exercises described and show HERE:http://east.ballyfitness.com/rapid_resul…

Um, lol that last part was funny. But yes they are for doing exercises. For example you can sit on it and do crunches, they’re more effective since you have to concentrate on keeping your balance. Ask a trainer or somebody at the gym to show you, it can be quite fun and you can get a really good work out of it.

  • I sit down with feet wide apart on the floor and back really straight. I tense my muscles and hold this position for a minute, repeating 3 times. This helps with your posture.
Another I do is to put the ball on the wall, my back to the ball and I crouch and stand again, I do this 15 times, stop, and repeat it again. This helps with your leg muscles.

Its easy if you just star out with the gym insturtors balls first then the big black balls then rubber balls.

  • harry:

hang them between your legs and walk funny

  • Bride-2-Be 5/10/08:

You should sit on them to start, so you can get your balance. Try sitting on the ball and marching. Did this for about a minute. its not that easy, but it will help. if you are lying on the ball, you need to make sure that your feet stay on the floor at all times.

  • My dogs help with my workout lol everytime i get my ball out they get excited and jump all over me….its a workout in itself trying to stay on the ball in a fit of giggles with the mutts diving at me! Eventually I do make them lie down and get on with my ‘proper’ workout lol

  • lol when i went for my first session with a personal trainer on tuesday he got me on one of those, and i was falling all over the place! i didnt like it all, but i better get used to it as he says 90% of our work will be using that’! ididnt really understand what is was for either so i’m glad you asked this question

  • deedee:

lie over it on ur belly, put hands behind neck, bend up and down, it stregnthens ur core. also can lay on floor, feet on ball, arms flat on floor beside you, raise pelvis up and hold then back down. to make more difficult u can hold one foot in air or cross arms onto ur chest. goodluck.

  • Lil Star:

What they do is give you an extra work out without you even knowing it! when you sit on them, you have to engage your “core muscles”, just to keep you balanced on them. If you sit on it and then do your bicep curls for example, your not jsut working your biceps your working your “core” aswell! and you don’t even have to think about it! Cool huh?

  • bballmvp:

i lay on my stomach and try to balance (without touching the ground with my feet or hands) with a flat back and i also do sit ups on them
