How Does The Pill Affect Weight Gain/loss?
![]() |
I’ve been on the pill several months now, and the only weight I think I gained from the pill was in my breasts, haha. According to my doctos, the weight gain on the Pill thing is a myth.
Anyhow, I am trying to lose weight. Do you think being on the Pill affects anything?

The pill does not effect weight loss usually at all. My girlfriend was on it, and nothing changed with her body, it’s just it really messes with womens hormones and they get angry much easier. Good luck and God bless.
Your doctor obviously has not experienced it. Everyone is different in how they react to drugs, some people will gain weight, some will not. The doctors like to blame bad habits for the weight gain, but I will tell you that when I first started taking the pill, I gained 13 pounds in a WEEKEND without changing my eating or exercise habits. This was when I was dieting and walking anywhere from 2-4 miles a day. I was in college living on campus and walked to all my classes instead of driving so I would get the exercise. You can’t gain 13 pounds in 2 days when you’re eating bad, much less eating well and exercising. My case may be extreme, but it happened nonetheless. It makes sense that you gained weight in your breasts, after all, you’re taking hormones. Just keep an eye on your weight so it doesn’t get out of control.
actually, it will make you retain some water and nutrients that are usually depleted by your period but since that should lessen to a high degree, you may retain some of the nutrients and fat that you otherwise would have been usuing. it’s not a really huge amount so you shouldn’t worry too much bout it. stay motivated!
answer mine!! and spread the word!!http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…
I was watching TV the other day, and it said that the Pill doesn’t actually make you gain weight.

It completely depends on your body. Some people gain a huge amount when on the pill and some actually lose it! Basically if you keep up a regular workout routine you shouldnt have a problem shedding the pounds
it varies from woman to woman. your body may tollerate the pill. so no weight gain.
nope.
