How Long Should It Take To Start Seeing Weight Loss Results?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I’m 16, 5′ 4″ , and 140 pounds. So Friday I decided that it was time to get healthier, so I’m eating no more than 1600 calories *of healthy food* and doing cardio exercise 30-40 minutes each day. I’ve only been doing this two days, but when should I start seeing results/losing weight? I weighed in today and now I’m a pound heavier!

Different people loose weight at different rates, the faster your metabolism the faster you will loose weight. It takes about 3500 calories to make a pound of fat so you will have to loose 3500 calories (through eating habits and exercise) to loose 1 pound.
On average if you are making a major change in exercise and calorie reduction then 1-2 weeks you will probably see something. For a moderate change maybe 2 -3 weeks to see the change.

The basics of weight loss are not as complicated as people make it out to be. You need to simply change your diet to healthy whole foods, fruits and veggies and get plenty of exercise.
It all depends on what you want to get out of it. Check out my fitness blog for more fitness info and ideas:http://weight–loss–info.50webs.com/

  • That pound may be muscle.
The smaller you are, the quicker weight loss shows, and it depends from person to person. People may not notice at first, but the more you lose, the more it will show quicker.
    Good luck (:
