How Many Calories Do I Need To Exercise Off Per Day?

I’m attempting to go for a steady weight loss of 1 or 2 pounds per week, and I was just wondering how many calories, roughly, per day I would need to exercise off to maintain this?
I currently walk 1.3 miles to college and then back again, and I also go jogging on the treadmill for about 20minutes, but haven’t managed to keep the weight going down?

It totally depends on your diet. How many calories do you consume per day??? Ideally, it should be somewhere between 1200-1400 per day. And then to burn it off, I think the current regime you’re following is okay. If you have a slow metabolism (you dont sweat easily), do an extra mile. Cut down on any junk food and colas. And follow the rule – Breakfast like a king, Lunch like a Prince and dine like a pauper. Heavy dinner will do you good. And a heavy breakfast means a healthy, heavy breakfast, try including milk and cereals, fruits, eggs, etc. Avoid too much intake of carbs, avoid much bread, et al. I’m sure it will help. Good luck
to atempt a steady weight loss you need to know that to loose weight this is the fact:
to loose weight it is 10% excersise and 90% diet
so the amount of excersise u do is just fine!
to loose weihgt in my opinion is for me its cycling and a steady sprrint not jog or walk thats too slow for me.
if u r wondering why you weight isn’t going down well then listen to this…
your muscles weigh more that fat tissue
so you are technically loosing weight!
it just doesn’t seem like it!

Well … to burn of one pound you need to burn 3500 calories more than you eat, so thats 7000 calories you need to burn off during the week more than what you eat

Maybe you should diet aswell or up the amount of time you exercise

I ignore how many calories, but I think you do rather well with what you’re doing currently !..I’m sure ! For my part, I walk 30 minutes by day ( 2 miles) and it’s the minimum ! So you do very well in my opinion…

to lose one pound you have to use up 3,500 calories, stick to about 1200 per day and do some excercise as well, good luck.
