How Many Calories Should I Burn With Exercise To Lose 2 Lbs A Week?

By Diet | Feb 27, 2010

I’m a 23 year old male, 6′0, 245 lbs and i’ve kicked up my exercise from 3 days a week to 6-7 days a week, burning 400-500 for each session. I consume around 1600-1800 calories a day. Is this enough to lose 2 lbs a week?

Don’t consume over the 1800 and you should be fine. I would add multi-vitamins to your diet to boost your metabolism also. Be sure to check and make sure b-12 is in it….
Eat at least 1 tsp of cinnamon a day and 1/2 grapefruit which also increases weight loss.

I am pretty sure you have to burn 1000 calories to burn 1lb of fat.

Make sure when you are eating, eat 6 small meals a day, you don’t want to have that full feeling in your stomach, you just barely want to be on the side of hungry. I would say that is enough, and that is the perfect amount of weight you can lose healthily in a week. Good luck!

I’d say that’s good. Also depends how fast your metabolism is. My diet and exercise regime was about the same and I lost about 2 lbs a week. But like I said it all depends on metabolism. Make sure to continue eating healthy… small meals throughout the day.
