I Used To Be A Member At Bally’s Fitness, And They Want Me Back And Offered Me A 1 Yr $99 Membership. Take It?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I know bally’s is scandalous, but $99 for the year is like $8 a month, and right now I pay $24 a month to 24 hour fitness. Anyone else have experience with this offer?

Wow, 24 hour fitness is $24/month? Do you have a special deal? I thought all the 24-hour places were at least fifty. I’ll check it out in town, thanks.
Do you love your gym? Which is more convenient for you? There’s no harm in pitting them against each other if you have the time to do so. If you like 24 hour fitness better (or simply trust them more), say “Hey, here’s what Bally’s is willing to do for me. I like it better here, but the cash is tight and it’s tempting. What can you do to make my decision easier?”
Go into Bally’s and say, “Hey, your offer is tempting. What other charges exist? Is there an activation fee? A one-time fee of any kind? What services aren’t included? Could you drop those? I really love my gym now, but for X deal, I could probably be persuaded.” A gym you really like goes a LONG way and I’d probably wind up with the one I enjoyed most, but you should be able to get a deal out of either of them.

    Utopian,
I joined Bally’s in 1991 went there for several years. I eventually shifted to another place. Now I’m not a member anywhere.
Here’s the amazing part- I’ve moved about a dozen times since then due to work. They find me anywhere I go and send me the same offer every year. I got one a couple of weeks ago.
Bottom line – don’t think this is your last chance. If you aren’t going right now (to Bally’s), don’t sweat it. Don’t worry – they will not forget you.

They offered me a similar sort of deal to return. But there was a bunch of hidden addition fees they threw on top that they didn’t have in their little $99 ad or whatever it was. Stay at 24 it’s a better place.

  • I say take it ! It’s so cheap , and you can always go for 30 minutes a week… plus you can meet lots of people at the gym!!

If it really is only $99 for one year-it sounds good.

24 Hour fitness in my opinion is the best gym out there id stick with what you have.

100 bucks for a membership????? Just do some sit-ups or something.

  • If your positive it will be $99 for an entire year. I’d do it. Just make sure its true.

Haven’t had the experience, but it sound like a GREAT deal! Take it.
