Is It Good To Detox Occasionally By Using A Bland Diet For A Few Days?

I do crave sweets on occasion. It seems like I can go for 1-2 weeks then it hits me. I have to bake a cake, cookies, or pie, anything sweet. I eat on it for a few days and then I am finished. Does a bland diet help to rest the gut? Will it help with sugar craving?

To detox you can go on a juice and water diet for a few days. Eating any foods will not let your body detox.
A cleanse definitely can and will help if you do the right one. You should never starve yourself on juice and water. You also do not necessarily need to spend money on a colon cleanse, your body does this naturally. You want to eat extremely clean for a few days, by this I mean, no fat, no sodium, no simple carbs, no sugar. You can do this by eating plain grilled chicken or fish, plain steamed veggies, and plain brown rice. Don’t add any salt, pepper, butter, or oils. It is not as easy to do as it sounds but is the healthiest most effective cleans you can ever do for your body.
