Weight loss – have continued to lose weight? Here's What You Can Do About It
If you're just starting your program of weight loss or if you've been following it for three or four good months – give full effort, the plates are something that arises frequently, even in the best situations.
What is a plateau of weight loss? Essentially, this is when the scale suddenly stops, or moves so slowly it seems that it hardly moves.
Any way you look, there is sure to be very frustrating for the dedicated Dieter who can not understand exactly why they stopped losing weight.
Here's what you can do about this situation if it happens while you're on your program of weight loss.
Consider Length Of Diet Period
The first thing I want you to ask yourself is how long you've been dieting. Has it been three months or more?
Secondly, how is this strict diet? Are you eating less than ten times your body> Weight in pounds in calories (if, for example, if you're 150 pounds, 150 x 10 = 1500 calories per day)?
If yes, we have a problem.
When a very strict diet for a long period of time without interruption of any kind, the body will actually begin to slow its metabolism and conserve fuel as possible.
Why does he do that?
There is substantial famine is happening and as such, attempts to preserve the body's tissues. The burns fewer calories per day, less bodytissue – namely, your body stores fat, it will burn. For you, however, that makes weight loss even almost impossible.
The solution
So the solution to this problem then is to carefully monitor your overall approach to weight loss diet. Think long term here and implement nutrition breaks right into the program.
Personally I recommend you take a break every six to nine weeks. This allows enough time for some good progress to bemade on food and enough time so that if a break is inserted in the diet, metabolism should not suffer too much. This drop in power, and should last about three days a week and calories should be reduced to about fourteen to fifteen calories times your weight in pounds.
This represents the support of most people.
Note that you may gain a pound back during the break, but really understand it's just mostly water weight and muscleglycogen, and will be lost once you resume feeding. More importantly is that this break will feed rev the metabolism again So when you return to your diet, losing weight is easier than ten times.
The way I look, what choice do you really?
Continue on as you are – hungry, frustrated and not making progress.
Or, take a break scheme, the possibility of risk to gain one to two pound weight, but then start to see progress much fasterOnce you start again. Not to mention the break diet is great for you mentally and to stick with the program that much easier.
The choice should be obvious.
