It should be pretty much mandatory. Look at the obesity rates of Americans. Having a fitness room would supplement mediocre physical education classes and health classes in most middle schools. It would be a great oppurtunity to teach the children the importance of maintaining great health and proper nutition. If all said classes where incorporated as whole it could benefit the future doctors, lawyers, and politicians of our country.

It’s a very excellent idea to have a fitness room in any school. In this day and age, more and more children are overweight and obese. Teaching healthy habits when people are young is a must.

Good you really can’t get anything bad out of a fitness room.

A fitness room is an excellent idea not only for middle school, but for all schools. In this day of computers, video games and push button this and push button that. a young person needs exercise wherever they can get it. When I was middle school age, we rode our bikes, played street ball, climbed trees etc., for fun, but nowadays, fun comes at the end of a push button controller. The younger generation is basically overweight and unfit physically. So Yes. I say a fitness room is healthy and necessary.

It would be nice. You get it at school, what maybe in gym? It would help save time. It would be nice to have a slower paced life too. Many people are just exhausted after fitting in a full day’s work (in your case schooling), running people around to different activities (or attending them) and going to school themselves (or homework), that no one seems to have time to exercise. I am not prepared to lose sleep to fit in another hour into my day. Since the tech age, it has all been down hill health wise between instant gratification (doing chores the easy way) and entertainment, but I wouldn’t trade that in either :P You need to find a balance (ok now im totally off topic lol )

i dont quite believe i would be as harsh as the person above, but i do think it’s a good idea, because some people don’t have access to places to excercize outside of school, so maybe in school they can get active
