Having a daily routine keeps you from snacking all day long. However, the calories
you burn on most jobs are disappointing, even for school. I would just concentrate o
work at work and school at school, nothing else you can do in a chair will help you
burn calories. Eat plenty of whatever fruit or vegetable you enjoy and make it a
minimum of five a day, raw or cooked stuff. I am a licensed dietitian and
everything else luvsumr said was true. One thing I can add, making sure you get at least
2 glasses of skim milk a day helps. I have one exercise suggestion. If you can do
some kind of running 20 minutes a day every day, it will increase your total energy.
That may be your best option on such a busy schedule.
I work full time and am also a full time student. I make time to work out (no excuses, summer is coming!) and I eat right. When you strength train with weights, you will continue to burn calories even after your workout. You’ll burn them while you sleep.
Eating certain foods like raw vegetables causes your body to work harder to digest them, therefore you will burn more calories. If you eat cooked vegetables, your body doesn’t have to work as hard to digest them.
Take a break during your work day and walk around your building, walk every where you can, and take the stairs instead of the elevator any chance you can get. You’ll be surprised what a difference it will make.
Good luck!
Since you have just asked a question about how to hide your food from your family without eating it, It seems as though you are going the wrong way to lose weight.
Did you know that it is actually easier to lose weight if you eat regularly as it keeps your metabolism high?
As with excising at school, how about jog to and from school? or taking up an extra-curricular sport after school?
