A cup of tea with sugar and 2 biscuits should make her feel better. She’s probably in a bit of shock at the thought of giving blood. Good on you for donating. No need for a special diet. The body costantly makes new blood. Amazing isn’t it?

  • larry648:

nothing special, blood replaces itself in a few days

  • Inquisit:

Human body will automatically replenish the blood that has been donated.
You do not need any special diet.
The feeling of weakness may be just psychological.
(I hope she is not anaemic and that a doctor has certified that she is fit enough to donate blood before donation.)

    A big juicy greasy hamburger.

    blood saugage,blood soup

  • Usually all you need is some juice immediately after you donate blood just to give you a short burst of energy and keep you from getting dizzy or even passing out. There is no need for a special diet. Having said that, if you frequent the blood bank, you may need to think in terms of long term nutrition or long term nutrition plans.
