What Is The Flax And Cottage Cheese Diet?

Fat Loss 4 Idiots

I’m asking here because you guys know much more about nutrition than the people in the diet section. Also, every other answer there is some kind of marketing spam.

I think it’s a diet where you only eat cottage cheese and flax. You don’t get to enjoy the wholesome goodness carrots provide and that’s no way to live.

It’s a diet recommended by a certain Johanna Budwig; she recommends a diet largely comprising flax seeds and cottage cheese, and claims this cures cancer.
It’s usually know n as the Budwig Protocol.
    It is, of course, nonsense.
Budwig’s supporters claim that it’s a supressed cancer cure, and make much of the fact that she has been nominated six or seven times for a Nobel Prize for her work in this area; this means nothing of course, anyone can get nominated – my friend could nominate me for this answer.
There is no scientific evidence that any food, including cottage cheese, can affect the progress of cancer in any way.
People like Johanna Budwig make wild and unproven claims and exploit the desperation of vulnerable people.
There are unsubstantiated testimonials on the internet; but you have no way of knowing if the person ever had cancer, much less that they have been cured. The plural of testimonial is not data.
Anyone with cancer who follows Johanna Budwig’s recommendations will be investing money, hope and, most dangerous of all, time they can ill-afford on something that is not effective, as well consuming quantities of not very enjoyable food.
Anyone hoping it will prevent cancer will also be investing money and eating horrible food, and their chances of developing cancer will remain the same – if they live into their 80s, onw in twoo for a male and one in three for a female

I’ve never heard of that and it sounds horrible!
In order to be healthy/diet/lose weight or whatever, you just need to make sure you’re getting the proper nutrients each day. I’m pretty sure that “diet” won’t do it for you.
Instead of three meals a day, eat five smaller ones. Make sure you are having a good amount of fruits and veggies each day and it’s good to switch them up too. For any type of bread or anything, use wheat instead of white-including for pasta. You don’t need as much protein as most people tend to think we do. Women usually only need about 40g of protein a day and that can be easily met. Just measure out your meals nutritiously and divide them up every few hours (the five meal thing). This is so you can be semi-full the whole day and therefore won’t be as likely to overeat. Eat slowly, drink lots of water, and tea is good for you as well. That’s all you need to know about nutrition, hope this helps! Just don’t do that diet it sounds awful, haha :)
