I know a lot of people are about to thumbs down me but I don’t care cuz this is what worked for me. I do the atkins diet. I started it around halloween and I have lost 40lbs. I am 5’6″ and started out weighing 200lbs now I weigh 159 lbs. I am still in the induction phase of the diet so I lose around 2-4lbs a week and lost more than 10 in the first 2 weeks. You can only eat the foods on the induction food list and nothing made with sugar ketchup, salad dressing, nothing with sugar. You can eat all the meat, chicken and fish you want. You can even have whipped cream as a desert sweetened with splenda. You can have all the hot wings you want too as long as they are made from a sugar free hot sauce like Texas Pete. I inspired 3 people to start the same diet after seeing how well I do on it and 2 out of the three are still doing it and losing. My friend even cheats on it and loses almost a pound a day but she was knocking on 300lbs so she has a lot more to lose therefore it comes off her faster. Good luck!
It depends on your daily caloric requirement, if your daily homeostatic
maintenance requirement is 1500 cal/d. This means you burn 1500 cal/d
just breathing, moving, sleeping and living, therefore if you burn an extra
1500 cal /wk with an exercise program and are consuming only 1000 cal/d
you are negative 5000 cal/wk. To lose 1lb, you need to be negative 3500 cal.
(1 lb=3500 calories). Therefore if you maintain this program, you would lose 1lb
every 5-6 days. A lot depends on your metabolism which is determined by your
total muscle mass, ie. the more muscle mass you have the more calories you
will burn. At 17, if you have a gradual weight loss as described above, your skin
will shrink to fit your body. Check out my sources.
Cardio, cardio, cardio! I would run every other day & I didn’t need to starve myself to lose the weight. If by “working out” you mean working on your muscle groups, you can achieve greater results by doing cardio beforehand. But always stretch before any activity (warm-ups) & do the same at the end of your workout (cool-downs).
Try to cut out any excess sugar that you can such as juices & sodas. There are lots of sugar-free ways to flavor your water now if you’re not a fan of plain water. Or use lemon or lime slices. Eat small meals, frequently throughout the day, every 2 hours or so. You could even try eating slower by cutting your food up into tiny pieces. This gives your body time to realize its full before you over eat.
Once I started jogging every other day, I lost the weight quickly without doing ANYthing else. It’s just a matter of having the motivation to do SOMETHING about the weight. Getting up & moving helps GREATLY!
And NO…I’m sure you will have no saggy skin, especially at your age. That’s usually a result of rapid weight loss by surgical means. Best of luck!
And make sure you have a cut off time at night that you STOP eating. And make sure you stick to it. That was tough for me to do & it still is! Drink water instead!
You should combine diet and exercise for best and fast results.
Choose healthy foods you like and replace unhealthy ones you eat in a day with them. Drink lots of water. Stay away from fat and sugar. Dont eat after 7pm. Eat 5 small meals in day, including snacks, not 3 big ones. Eat grilled and boiled foods, not fried and fastfoods. Here is a sample diet plan;
Breakfast: Slices of tomatoes, a piece of cheese, 4 5 olives, 2 egg whites and green tea
Snack: nuts or fruits
Lunch: Salad
Snack again
Dinner: Grilled chicken, turkey or fish and boiled vegetables or salad
You should exercise for best, fast and permanent results. And support it with walkings or runnings.
Good luck:)
best things are look for low fat and salt and sugary things try to stay on low fat stuff fast food is ok once in a while but not all the time try to do exercise no not the gym lots of exercise you can do at home for example sit ups jogging stuff like that at first there wil be saggy fat left but as time goes on that fat would be stretched out and spread ed around the Body
Hope that helps and good luck its not allways easy
Use the treadmill for at least 15-20 minutes after you finish working out — it will help you cool off and it will speed up the weight loss process. Eat lots of protein. You don’t have to stop yourself from eating the foods you love. The key to living a healthy life is to eat in moderation. Replace your consumption of regular soda with diet soda and drink more water and juice. Sorry, not sure about the saggy skin.
You can find a lot of good advice on the site i posted below. Eating healthy is part of it, you also have to drink healthy meaning no more soda or alocholic beverages and more water. If your workout consists of cardio that will help. You also have to give it some time. be patient set up a bunch of small goals and you will be fine.
Are you male or female?
The best way to lose weight is to do a lot of cardio and find a diet plan that works for you. Atkins always worked for me when I was younger, but not so much when I got a little older.
