I have a friend from high school who had the surgery and since she had it 8 months ago her face is more wrinkled and she looks much older than before she lost 100 pounds. I noticed that Star Jones looks so much older now than she did before her weight loss. She doesn’t look good at all. I will say that Al Roker looks no different in the face to me. Maybe it’s just women.

An obese person has a lot more skin – think about it. When they lose weight really fast, that skin does not have time to shrink. The older they are, the less elasticity their skin has, which also contributes to the problem. Many gastric bypass patients need lots of skin tucking surgeries once the weight is off. A face lift may also be done. I find many women who have face lifts do look older, even though they think they look younger.
The skin is so streched out that doesn’t shrink back. This is the time when they need to go to a plastic surgeon who will be able to remove the excess skin. The same happens to some pregnant ladies. The pregnancy is over, but they are left with a wrinkly saggy belly. This is a good reason to keep our weight under control.
The plumpness in the face goes away and wrinkles set in. I think that Star Jones Reynolds had a face lift after she had bypass surgery. She looks weird.
That stretched out facial skin just hangs until it shrinks again…
