My doctor advised me to start with a high-protein diet low in calories. I was considering buying shakes and bars, to be able to help me follow this diet closely. Does anyone have any suggestions for any shakes or bars?

    . You do not need to shake or bars. . . just have a lot of lean proteins, fruits and vegetables. . . carbohydrates and fats are lower, but still there. Fruits and vegetables have a lot of water in them, so low in calories for what you get (some more than others). Many of them in your daily diet will help keep your calories down, then add the fish, chicken or other protein of choice to satisfy this requirement. I eat chicken so I cackle and lay eggs. LOL! Protein Shakes / bars can be useful if you work hard and need extra protein to build muscle. . . Otherwise, your body does not need to liquidate.
