What is the best diet to lose belly fat and build muscle at the same time?

I have a few big belly that I want to get rid of. But I also want to build muscle at the same time. What kind of diet to follow? I thought the low-carbohydrate and high protein content, but I’m afraid, if low-carb to strengthen the injured muscles and high protein content will add more fat in the waist area. Please suggest.
