Eat more. You read that right. You need to avoid starving yourself at all times. Know how many calories you should be getting each day and aim to get that amount.

Don’t make it harder than it already is. Usually when people think of dieting they dread it because it has become known to be a dreadful task. It all depends on how you approach it. But you need to relax and view it as a good thing. Just remember what you are doing it for.

Listen to your body. If you feel hungry then by all means go eat. But when you eat take it slow so that you can tell when you are satisfied. That way you avoid any temptation to overeat.

Have breakfast EVERY day. It does not matter if you are late for work you should still grab something on the way even if it is a sugary cereal bar.

You are still indulging at snack time. As hard as it is to avoid picking up a Snickers bar or a bag of Cheetos you still need to snack smarter. Having a glass of milk with some strawberries is a much healthier variation than any candy bar. If you must go to your local convenience store at least choose a low sugar protein bar or cereal bar before even thinking about grazing in the candy section.

Your portion sizes are a little off. Every day you should stick to eating at least five times a day. Have three meals with two snacks in between. The snacks can just be a little something to bring back your focus. Your meals should be no more than 600 calories. Learn how to count calories and read food labels. Even if you were going to eat junk food at least eat with moderation.

Stay away from soft drinks. Remember the glory days of being a kid. You could borrow a couple dollars from your parents and buy a large milkshake without gaining an ounce. Now you need to stay away from the sugary drinks and energy drinks. The only thing you want to aim for is water, tea, low fat milk, and juice without any added sugar. Your sugar intake could rise a lot just from having a Red Bull. The result? Your body stores most of it as fat.

Be more active. Any kind of physical activity you involve in your day-to-day life will help you lose more fat. This does not mean going to the gym and work out for two hours. Start off slow by playing sports. You must have some kind of sport you enjoy doing. Make some extra money on the side by mowing your neighbor’s lawn. Go to your local park and shoot hoops. Whatever it is you got to do to get some exercise in for the day. You should work out for at least thirty minutes each day in order to really lose fat fast.

Downsize your cheat days. Cheat days should not be days when you get to go to the local buffet and eat until you can’t move. Having a cheat day every week is acceptable. But you should downsize a whole day to just one meal. It could be a hefty portion of whatever it is that your crave. A batch of chocolate chip cookies or three slices of pizza is fine. Just make sure you eat clean all week so that you know you deserve that taste of heaven.

Go to bed on time. Getting at least eight hours of sleep each night will boost your metabolism and have your body burning more fat. Your body must recover properly especially if you work out.
