HIIT High Intensity Interval Training

This is the stuff that athletes are made of. This is also how you will get a rock hard chiseled body, and a flattened stomach! HIIT is when you take a cardiovascular based activity like rowing machines, cycling, running, boxing, anything that gets you huffing and puffing, and you add a little spice to it. You casually work out for a minute and then go rock hard for 30 seconds. Continue this until you are incapable of doing more!

Hill Sprints

This is sort of like HIIT, but has a bit more resistance to it, and is a bit more hardcore. You find a hill or a set of stairs that is reasonably steep, and after warming up you proceed to run/sprint up to the top of your chosen pinnacle. Light jog or walk back down and start it again. I have found that stairs are best for this – they literally burn your legs but are a fantastic fat burning tool.
