Switching between the high-calorie diets and low in calories per day to get the muscle and fat?

Im beginning to work, and now I still want to lose fat and gain muscle. . . I was wondering if you can say, for example, that eating a diet rich in protein, on Monday and weightlifting on Monday, Tuesday THEN diet with low calories and do cardio. . If this method is effective?
